I’m Vann, founder of Vann Consulting Services. I started in IT during COVID-19 after losing work with friends. We took freelance field jobs through FieldNation and WorkMarket by day and online classes by night. We built skill by taking the jobs everyone else said no to — then turned that path into training for people who want into IT, and into a plan to grow a managed IT and cloud practice for small businesses and nonprofits.
Today Vann Consulting Services teaches practical cybersecurity and IT classes in the Tulsa market — help desk, IT support, and Security+ style skills — and delivers Cloud and Managed IT for understaffed offices: email and users, desktop support, cable cleanup, and desktop refresh. I stay close to the work. If we can’t do it, we’ll say so.
The point is still the same: do the work, teach the work, build the team.
